What a successful two weeks of our new communication program called Kimochis! Last week we met our first character named Lovey Dove, she taught us some friendly signals that we can give to friends both new and old. We enjoyed practicing these signs and found ourselves implementing them into our play on a daily basis! Today we met our second character named Cloud, we were delighted to see that he had two different faces.... one was mad and the other was happy. We loved learning more about Cloud through a book read aloud and we learned that it's okay to feel mad but it's not okay to be mean. We were taught a trick called the calm down breath that we can try when we are mad. Ask your children about it, they will show you how to smell the flower then blow out the candle! Next week we will meet Hugtopuss, the children can't wait to meet the next Kimochis character.
