Ohio University Summer Coding Camp This camp is a free program offered by Ohio University to help introduce middle-school aged girls to basic computer programming.

The Ohio University Summer Coding Camp is a free program offered by Ohio University to help introduce middle-school aged girls to basic computer programming with the hope of helping them develop skills that can help open pathways for them in this rapidly growing career field. The camp has been designed by Ohio University professors and staff who will work with advanced Ohio University students to facilitate the camp.

First day of camp nearly in the books! After a morning of discussion and planning in the classrooms, campers took a field trip. Dr. Wu Lei and her research team worked with the campers to understand applications of coding in scientific research on nanotechnology. While with Dr. Lei, campers were able to make slide samples and look at those samples under microscopes.
