This week would be a good time to bring out the MOXIBUSTION for your horses ..( or yourself) Moxa is great for the digestion system and constipation and has a deep warming affect on arthritis.. I use a stick made of dried mugwort and light the end like a cigar (caution in the barn as highly flammable if not handled and extinguished properly) I personally draw the meridians on the animal and pay close attention to the digestive tract .. I will incorporate specific acupressure points based on my assessment... and I will target large muscles groups .. the whole barn will benefit breathing the aroma and the warmth flowing through the area ..caution do not use on pregnant mares as it stimulates circulation and may expedite labor( it is used however as an adjunct for breech babies and malposition foals.. never In place of doctors or veterinarians)
