🍎 Learning, Growing, and Getting Better Together! 💚
Before Fall Break began, Tanner teachers, administrators, and members of our Central Office team participated in our first Instructional Rounds of the year!
Instructional Rounds give us the opportunity to learn from one another—identifying common practices across classrooms, celebrating what’s working, and finding inspiration in the great things happening throughout our school.
At Tanner, we believe that when we grow together, our students grow too. The willingness of our teachers to open their classrooms, collaborate, reflect, and continually improve is part of what makes Tanner such a special place. 💚
We are proud of the work happening in our classrooms and excited to keep learning from one another throughout the year!

It’s a great way to finish right before fall break! 🍂
Mrs. Smith’s 7th graders have been busy presenting and creating presentations on Early Humans and the Agricultural Revolution, while her 8th graders were getting creative with mosaics! 🏺🎨
We love seeing our students learning, creating, presenting, and putting their hard work on display! Great job, Rattlers! 🐍💚🖤

Planning for the future in Mrs. Phillips’ Math Modeling class! 🎓💚
Students have been creating college budgets, exploring the costs of attending college, and comparing options to determine what best fits their goals and financial needs.
This project brings math to life while helping students make informed decisions about their next steps after high school! 🐍

STEM is growing at Tanner! 🔬💚
Our middle school STEM Club held its first meetings of the year with Mrs. Leopard! Interest is so high that she divides members into two groups that meet on separate days, giving everyone the opportunity to participate.
Building on what Mrs. Leopard has started, our high school science teachers, Mr. McKibbin and Mr. Glenn, also held their first STEM Club meeting for high school students!
Thank you to these teachers for creating opportunities for our students to explore, create, and problem-solve together. We can’t wait to see what both clubs accomplish this year! 💚🐍

🌟 Celebrating our Rattlers!
The academic achievements of Tanner High School’s English language learners were recognized this week at the Limestone County EL Awards!
We are so proud of these students for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments. A special thank-you to our EL teachers, Mrs. Erba Barker and Mrs. Brandi Hall, for their hard work, encouragement, and ongoing support in helping our students grow and succeed!

🎓 Big steps toward bright futures!
This week, Tanner High School seniors participated in Free College Application Week! Our career coach, Mrs. Tara Ellis, made sure students had everything they needed to complete their applications and take the next step toward their goals.
Thank you, Mrs. Ellis, for supporting our seniors as they plan for life after graduation! We’re excited to see what the future holds for our Rattlers! 💚🐍
