Ms. Moore’s Honors Spanish 2 class was so excited to welcome Joe and Norma from ROOTS Authentic Puerto Rican Food to their class yesterday.

Thank you for sharing your story, your culture, and the food that reminds you of home with our students. They loved having you here, and loved the food!

What a great opportunity for our students to meet members of our community who built a life from sharing their culture! 💛

Shout out to our Student Government! With the help of the community, they were able to collect $88 in cash donations and 200 cans of food for Coordinated Charities at this year's Powderpuff Football Game.

This morning, we honored our character award winners for the month of September! Each month, we are celebrating students who exemplify a different character trait. This month, we asked teachers to recognize a student from their first period class who demonstrates teamwork. We want to thank these students for their positive contribution to our school and to Spirit City Church North Etowah for treating them with breakfast this morning!

Congratulations to Jennifer Miller! Jennifer was selected by our staff and students as the September Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Miller's contribution to the good of McMinn is unmatched! If you're unfamiliar with what Mrs. Miller does at MCHS, it might be easier to list what she doesn't do. She teaches US History, English III, AP Government, and AP European History, and she co-sponsors our Student Government. In the month of September alone, she has helped plan and organize a charity benefit for a staff member, spirit week, powderpuff football, the homecoming pep rally, and the homecoming dance. She is our unofficial steward of school spirit, positivity, and fun at McMinn. Mrs. Miller loves her students, and we love her! Let's hear it for Mrs. Miller! 💛🖤
