BHHS 1967 classmates Harry L. Sims and Elizabeth S. Platt, who serve on the H. T. Edwards Teaching and Learning Center’s Heritage Committee, giving the history of their former high school to students attending the Career Academy. This is done at the beginning of each school year here in Athens. The students really enjoyed learning about what it was like when we were students, asked questions and said they learned a lot about the building’s history.

Some of the Burney-Harris High School Class of 1967 members supporting Lillie Lester Hopkins at the Home Going celebration for her husband, Mr. Harry Lee Hopkins, Sr. Both Lillie and Harry Lee Hopkins are members of our class. Three other class members that were present but are not in the photo are, Larry Hudson, Lillie Daniel Taylor, and Christine Barrington. Thanks class of 67 for always showing up to support each other.❤️❤️
