We are happy to announce the UGA Trial Garden Classic City Awards! These are our top-performers for the entire 2026 trial season!

Heliopsis 'Forged in Fire' Walters Gardens
Gorgeous combination of red, orange, and yellow. This is a full-sun perennial with native roots, so it does well in clay soil.

Petchoa EnViva™ 'Blue Vein' Selecta one - North America
'Blue Vein' has large, delicate petals, and handles the heat just as well as it's calibrachoa cousins.

Ipomoea Sweet Caroline 'Bewitched After Midnight™ II' Proven Winners
The deep color and intriguing shaped vine is a winner at UGA as a groundcover, or a cascading annual.

Caladium 'Passionate Pink' Classic Caladiums
The caladiums have been outstanding this year, in both full sun, and deep shade. 'Passionate Pink' is the winner of the bunch!

Pentas Beehive™ 'Lipstick' Syngenta Flowers North America
Buzzing with butterflies and bees, 'Lipstick' has deep color and great shape. Grown from seed, planted in clay beds, and very uniform.

Agastache 'Peach Pearl' TERRA NOVA® Nurseries
Agastache is a go-to perennial for deer resistant gardens. 'Peach Pearl' is a great choice for its deep gold plumes, and looks great in pots or in the ground.

Petunia Supertunia Vista® 'Cool Jazz™' Proven Winners
The blooms have an iridescent shimmer, and plants are remarkably durable to superior root systems.

Fuchsia 'Blue Radiance' Ball FloraPlant
Fuchsia has a reputation for wanting cooler weather, but are amazed by the solid performance by Blue Radiance in the Southeast in partial shade!

Catharanthus Cora® 'Cascade XDR Mix' Syngenta Flowers North America
This is a difficult plant to grow well in Georgia clay, and this mix has given us healthy plants in an array of colors.

Celosia Intenz™ 'Dark Purple' Ball FloraPlant
A high-impact thriller that is easy-to-grow in any hot spot in the garden.

Curcuma ThaiSpice™ 'Red' Ball Seed Company
Our favorite new plant for 2026. Ever-lasting blooms are still going strong.

Mandevilla Sun Parasol® 'Giant Peach Sunrise' Suntory Flowers North America
You know the Peach State is going to love the 'Giant Peach Sunrise'!

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all of our 2026 trial partners!
