Ready to grow as a nonprofit leader? Financial assistance could help make ELPNO 2027 possible! 🌟

We offer two opportunities for eligible applicants:

💡 The H. Woods Bowman Fellowship provides $500 to a nonprofit leader committed to advocacy, ethical practice, research, and lifelong learning.

💙 The Needs Based Fellowship provides up to $1,000 to an applicant from an eligible nonprofit organization with an annual budget of less than $1 million.

To be considered, indicate your interest on the application and submit all additional required materials by Sept. 4.

✨ We’re proud to share that the Emerging Engineers Leadership Development (EELD) Program received the Outstanding Program Award at the 2026 Association of Leadership Educators Conference!

Facilitated by Brandy Walker and Elizabeth Lutz, EELD equips University of Georgia engineering students with practical communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.

Since its inception in 2018, the program has reached more than 3,800 students across eight engineering degree programs. We’re honored to see EELD’s impact and commitment to leadership education celebrated.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who makes this program possible! 🎉

A group of University of Georgia undergrad students participated in a leadership “boot camp” through the new Disability Ambassador Leadership Initiative, a partnership between the Fanning Institute and UGA - Accessibility and Testing within the Division of Student Affairs.

Supported by a 2026 Ralston Institute Momentum Grant in Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, the boot camp prepared Disability Ambassadors to mentor middle school students with disabilities across Georgia’s public schools.

Through leadership development, connection, and shared experiences, the ambassadors gained skills and tools to help younger students envision life after high school, including a future in college.

We’re proud of the Disability Ambassadors and their commitment to helping the next generation of students see what’s possible!

📓Georgia nonprofits are being called to meet growing community needs, and we’re here to help.

According to the 2026 Georgia Nonprofit Forecast Mid-Year Outlook, 83.7% of nonprofit leaders expect demand for services to increase in 2026, yet only 49% believe their organizations have the capacity to meet that need.

✨Building organizational capacity takes planning, strong leadership, and the right support. Our institute partners with nonprofit organizations across Georgia through training, technical assistance, strategic planning, and leadership development to help organizations strengthen their impact and better serve their communities.

It was a pleasure to host Destination Dawgs Pre-Admission Day and welcome students to campus for a firsthand look at college life. Through campus experiences and conversations with peer mentors, participants explored opportunities for higher education, career development, and independent living.

🐾 We are proud to support events that encourage self-advocacy and help students prepare for their future goals.
