The final days of the Youth Lead Georgia bus tour were filled with impactful stops and meaningful experiences.

Students visited the University of Georgia Tifton Campus, explored careers and innovative technologies during a tour of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, and learned about Georgia’s agricultural industry at Cooley Farms and Dickey Farms.

So far, students have explored the legendary Capricorn Sound Studios and Museum, gone behind the scenes at the Savannah Port, visited UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, and experienced the beauty of the Okefenokee swamp with a canoe tour. Along the way, we have been diving into leadership content, building connections, and learning about unique opportunities across Georgia.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds! 🌟

Participants from this year's Maddox Leadership Institute have officially graduated, marking the 8th cohort of this program!

We work alongside the JF Maddox Foundation to facilitate a nine-month leadership program for a cohort of 30 community leaders. This initiative equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and connections needed to become action-oriented leaders who can address challenges and pursue opportunities within their community.

We look forward to continuing to advance leadership development in Hobbs, NM, and beyond!

In partnership with UGA - Accessibility and Testing within the Division of UGA Student Affairs, we received a 2026 Ralston Institute Momentum Grant in Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to launch Empowering Postsecondary Pathways for Middle School Students with Disabilities.

This grant fuels a four‑day Summer Disability Leadership Boot Camp, preparing undergraduate disability ambassadors to step into powerful roles as near‑peer mentors and outreach leaders for middle school students with disabilities.

Together, we’re strengthening leadership development and creating scalable resources that support communities across Georgia.
