🅿️ An important parking heads-up for Hornet Nation as construction continues next to Bruce Field! The visitors’ lot on the south side of the stadium is closed while crews build our new covered practice pavilion. So fans attending events at Bruce Field will need to use other nearby lots. Remember: this practice pavilion is being built to give our students much-needed protection from the elements, and with these triple-digit, blazing-hot days, it’s easy to understand just how valuable that will be. Public parking is available at the Bruce Field lot and the AHS main campus lot off E. College St., the "horseshoe," baseball, and softball lots off Dul Averiette St., and both sides of Central Athens Elementary off either Owen or Madole streets. Check out the map for visuals! The field house parking lot is reserved for players, coaches and support staff. Construction always comes with growing pains, and we appreciate everyone who bears with us along the way. Thanks for your patience and flexibility, Hornets! 🐝

🙌 Did you know 29 percent of the Class of 2026 earned associate degrees? That’s more than NINE TIMES the statewide average! So it comes as no surprise that Athens ISD’s PINNACLE Early College High School is celebrating another strong showing, meeting all TEA requirements and earning distinction across every major performance area. This spring alone, 53 AHS students graduated from Trinity Valley Community College with associate degrees, including 49 through PINNACLE. It’s a great reflection of the hard work of our students and staff, the support of their families and our strong partnership with TVCC.

🙌 The Lady Hornets are off to a strong start. Athens went 6-1 at the Palestine Tournament over the weekend, improving to 7-1 on the season.
