Today we are spotlighting this very special !!! Hear from Lacey Rutherford (MC ‘25) and Deveny Gilmore (MC ‘24) on what their Alpha Chi family means to them!

“Having Deveny as my big has been such a blessing! I knew immediately after bid day that I wanted her to be my big. She has been my rock in Alpha Chi and is so genuine and caring. College has been a huge adjustment for me and Deveny has been there for me every step of the way, whether it’s taking me to the grocery store, calling me when I’m sad, or taking care of me when I’m sick. My grandbig Camden and great grandbig Caroline have been amazing too. I was so excited to be a part of a family and I couldn’t imagine a better one to be a part of. My family is a true representation of the fun, loving, dedicated girls of Alpha Chi, and I can’t wait for the next family dinner we all have together.”
- Lacey Rutherford

“Meeting Lacey on the Alpha Chi lawn on bid day, I knew we were going to be big little. Her positive attitude and easygoing personality made me love her instantly. Our whole family is so close and Lacey is one of the biggest reasons for that. She goes out of her way to check in on her big, grandbig, and great grandbig and plans a family dinner. My Alpha Chi family is one of the biggest blessings this chapter has given me and I am so grateful to have Caroline, Camden, and Lacey in my corner. I know these girls will be part of my family for the rest of my life.”

Happy Monday featuring Elsie Damato!!!

Elsie is our Vice President of Facility Operations! She is from Raleigh, North Carolina, and is majoring in Political Science and Portuguese.

“I ran to be Vice President of Facility Operations because of the place we are lucky to call our home away from home. Walking through our doors leads to a genuine and loving space that is so important to our sisterhood. It is a dream to continue living in the house and work to guarantee that everyone feels welcome!”

“My favorite AXO event is Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi! Our spring philanthropy event includes pizza, popsicles, and a band on the lawn. It is so much fun to watch students across chapters visit our home and fill the space!”

Thank you, Elsie, for helping keep the Alpha Castle up and running! We could not love you more!
