🎉OFFICER INTRODUCTION🎉. Today we are introducing our new Vice President Amelia Housley! Amelia is a junior Animal Biosciences major with a minor in Avian Biology. This is what Amelia has to say about her favorite BnB event….
“It’s impossible to pick just one favorite event of B&B! I love that our livestock shows not only an opportunity for 4-H & FFA members to exhibit livestock but also they’re an opportunity to bring together exhibitors, families, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators from across the state. I love being part of an organization that creates a welcoming environment where people can connect, encourage one another, and share a passion for agriculture and livestock. Also the GSSR Rodeo is one of my favorites because it brings contestants, volunteers, sponsors, and our community together for an incredible weekend!” We are so excited to see what Amelia will do in her position this year!

👏MEET A MEMBER MONDAY👏 Today we are spotlighting two of our members who have had a very fulling summer! Sophomore Agriculture Education major Aubrey Welch and Senior Agribusiness major Abigail Kendrick came together to create a wonderful agricultural experience for sheep and goat showmen to hone their skills! This is what they have to say about their summer:
A² Showmanship Camp is a hands-on livestock camp co-owned by Abigail Kendrick and Aubrey Welch, two experienced livestock exhibitors who traveled across Georgia this summer coaching young showmen. With camp locations throughout Georgia, their mission is to help youth develop stronger goat and sheep showmanship skills while building confidence, sportsmanship, and meaningful relationships. Through personalized instruction in a fun and encouraging environment, they strive to help every camper grow both inside and outside the show ring.

The camp was a major success in its first season, with campers already celebrating numerous showmanship achievements and applying the skills they learned at camp in the show ring. We are excited to continue growing A² Showmanship Camp, expanding its reach, and helping even more young exhibitors succeed in the years to come.
We are so proud of these two members and all they accomplished this summer!

MEET A MEMBER MONDAY!!
This Monday we are catching up with BnB member MacKeane Threadgill who has been working on a cattle crew this summer! Here is what MacKeane has to say…

“My name is MacKeane Threadgill, junior at UGA studying Animal and Dairy Science. I spent this past summer working on the cattle crew at the J. Phil Campbell Senior Research and Education Center in Watkinsville. Our days were spent maintaining and improving our 4 herds, together totaling over 320 head, and the pastures that support them. My favorite part of the summer was when we got to make hay - driving those big tractors is a blast. “
We are so proud of all our members and everything they have accomplished this summer!
