🟡WE NEED YOUR HELP *** Updated Picture of Suspect Vehicle🟡
On Monday, July 6, 2026, at 9:20 P.M., a motor vehicle collision occurred in McDuffie County on GA 17 south of Thomson. An investigation conducted by the Georgia State Patrol Post 25-Grovetown found that an unknown vehicle struck a bicycle that was being operated by Robert Thorpe. Robert Thorpe succumbed to his injuries on scene. Based on evidence located at the scene, the suspect vehicle is a Dodge Ram with damage to its passenger side mirror and headlight/fog light. Surveillance video in the area captured the suspect vehicle just prior to this collision. Attached is a photo of the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information regarding the events of this incident are encouraged to contact the Georgia State Patrol Troop E Communications Center at 706-210-2045.
