👻 Mrs. Plott, you’ve been BOOED! 🎃

SCA delivered their first Boo Basket surprise on Friday! Throughout October, our SCA members are surprising a teacher, staff member, or administrator of their choice with treats and a little spooky cheer! 🧡🖤

We love seeing our students show appreciation for the people who make AMS special. Who will be booed next? 👀

👻 A little spooky storytelling and a whole lot of creativity!

Ms. Suggs’s and Mrs. Roan’s classes brought their imaginations to life by creating their own monsters and writing spooky stories to go with them! Students explored the creative writing process through an interactive activity, then enjoyed a gallery walk to see their classmates’ creations. 📝🎨

What a fun way to share their stories and celebrate each other’s creativity! 🖤💛

🎬 Lights, camera, learning! 🎥

This week in Mrs. Barnes’ 6th Grade ELA class, students read “Things That Could Go Wrong in Idaho” by Kaely Horton and then brought the story to life! 📚✨

After analyzing the characters, setting, conflict, and key events, students used Canva to create their own movie trailers or trailer scripts. 🎞️ They had to use specific details from the text to make their trailers accurately represent the story while adding their own creative touches!

A fun way to show that reading comprehension + creativity = learning in action! 🍿🎬

🥄✨ It pays to stay FLY at AMS!

This week, we celebrated our Golden Spoon winners with a special treat and recess during advisory! Today, students also cashed in their golden tickets during lunch for some well-earned rewards. 🎟️🎉

We’re proud of our students for following our FLY expectations and making positive choices every day. Way to stay FLY, students! 🖤💛
