Our Basic Ag Science have been learning all about FFA this week!

After learning about official FFA dress and the iconic blue corduroy jacket members wear at competitions, conventions, conferences, and other events, students even got the chance to do a little role playing and try it out for themselves!

🎉 Congratulations to Kate Hinger!

We are incredibly excited to share that Kate has been named a National Golden Level Finalist for her FFA Proficiency Application, becoming the first student in Clarke Central High School history to earn this national recognition!

FFA Proficiency Awards recognize students for the skills, knowledge, and experiences they develop through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Kate’s SAE has grown through her work at KB Sporthorses, where she has continued to take on greater responsibilities and now serves as a barn manager.

This recognition is a testament to Kate’s hard work, growth, and dedication to developing real-world skills in the equine industry.

We are incredibly proud of Kate for representing Clarke Central FFA on the national level and for once again making history! ❤️💛

We’re excited to introduce a new tradition in our Agriculture Education classes!

Each week, students anonymously nominate a classmate who has gone above and beyond in the classroom and lab by demonstrating strong leadership, work ethic, participation, technical skills, and the employability skills we work to build every day.

Our Clarke Central FFA Monthly Floral Subscription is back, and we'd love for you to join us!

Enjoy beautiful, student-designed floral arrangements delivered throughout the school year while supporting hands-on agricultural education.

💐 Subscription Options
• Full Year: $300 for 10 monthly arrangements (August–May)
• Fall Semester: $150 for 5 monthly arrangements (August–December)

We're also excited to once again partner with our Adaptive Curriculum Program to offer FREE delivery within a 5-mile radius of Clarke Central High School. This partnership provides meaningful real-world work experiences for students while making it even easier to enjoy fresh flowers each month.

Every arrangement is handcrafted by students in our Floral Design Program, and every subscription helps provide more hands-on learning opportunities for our students.

Did you know we have who show livestock?

Today, rising 9th grader Virginia Ruark kicked off her show season by exhibiting her pigs at the Beat the Heat Show in Madison County! 🐷

This summer, several of our Clarke Central High School FFA members & had the opportunity to attend the inaugural Georgia Youth Institute at the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences!

Over two days, students explored some of the world’s biggest challenges surrounding food security, agriculture, and sustainability while presenting research, participating in hands-on learning experiences, and engaging with university faculty and industry professionals.

Experiences like these allow our students to see how the knowledge they’re gaining in agriculture can make an impact far beyond the classroom and our local community. We are proud of them for representing Clarke Central so well and grateful for opportunities that inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders.

The first ever Clarke Central Dog Show happened last week for our Veterinary Science ! 🐶

To wrap up the semester, students researched a specific breed of dog, built a realistic replica of their breed, and created a custom “Bark Box” designed specifically for that dog breed.

Students had to design toys and enrichment items appropriate for their breed’s behavior and activity level, while also creating treats that supported the nutritional needs of their breed.

This project challenged students to apply concepts related to animal behavior, nutrition, enrichment, creativity, and communication, all while having a little fun to end the semester! 🐾
