UGA Chi Omega - Mu Beta Chapter

UGA Chi Omega - Mu Beta Chapter Although the Chi Omega house appears small from the front, the dormitory area can accomodate 69 girls, making it one of the largest sorority houses at UGA.

Founded in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, Chi Omega is the largest women's fraternal organization in the world with over 380,000 members, 181 collegiate chapters, and 247 alumnae chapters. The Mu Beta Chapter of Chi Omega was founded on April 21, 1922 as the second sorority at the University of Georgia.

Throughout Chi Omega's history, six great purposes have been stressed, including friends

hip, high standards of personnel, sincere learning and credible scholarship, community service, participation in campus activities and career development. This allows all of the sophomores and executive board to live in the house. The front of the house has a large chapter room, an old-fashioned parlor room, a kitchen, and a dining room where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily during the week. The courtyard, which is adjacent to the living quarters and the chapter room, is a great place to study on a cool fall day, to catch a few rays in the spring time, or simply to socialize. The house also touts a study room on the third floor with couches, tables, computers, printers, copiers, and study files all available as resources to the Chi Omegas. Fast Facts:

Today’s is a PC ‘25 duo featuring Emily Nelson and Anna Hidell! Here’s what they have to say about their time in Chi O:

“I can confidently say that joining Chi Omega has been the best decision I’ve made in college. From recruitment to moving into the house, it was clear how genuine, supportive, and caring everyone is. I love that I can walk into any room and always find someone to talk to, and living at the end of the hall has made our room a natural gathering spot. The best part, though, has been living with Anna. I met Anna on the bus to Chi O on Bid Day last year, and she has become the most supportive friend in my life. She is intentional, thoughtful, and always there for the people she loves, while also making everyone laugh. From running errands and late night study sessions to beach trips, movies, and even getting dairy-free ice cream so I don’t feel left out, I’ve loved every moment with her and my Chi O friends. I already know Anna is someone who will be in my life forever, and I can’t imagine my college experience without her.” - Emily Nelson

“Coming into recruitment, I didn’t have any friends from high school with me, so I was definitely nervous, but the second I walked into Chi Omega, everything just felt so genuine, welcoming, and comfortable. I could immediately picture myself finding lifelong friendships there. After Bid Day, I knew I had made the right decision, and I truly haven’t looked back since. I am so thankful and grateful for everything this place has given me, especially the incredible friendships and memories I know I will carry with me forever. I have met girls who I know will always be there for me, no matter what. One of the biggest blessings has been becoming so close with Emily, and now we get to live together in the Chi O house. It truly feels like everything fell perfectly into place, and I owe it all to Chi O!” - Anna Hidell

We love you both so much! ❤️

Dear PNMs! Meet Anna Kate Carroll, our New Member Educator. She wanted to share a few words with you as you begin this exciting new chapter. We hope they bring you a sense of comfort and encouragement as you go into this special week!🤍

“Dear Potential New Member,

With rush approaching so soon, I know there are so many feelings happening. Worry, excitement, confidence, nervousness, just to name a few, and I felt all these things and more.
My wish for you in this season is to find the place where you’re celebrated everyday. The place where you are known and loved for exactly who you are. A place that is rooted in authenticity, real relationships, and overflowing joy! can confidently say that Chi O is this place for me. As soon as I walked into 324 S Milledge Ave, I felt complete confidence and comfort. I felt relieved of the pressure of being polished. I felt immediate love and acceptance. And I can proudly say this love doesn’t just shine through recruitment and bid day, but is constant and abundant throughout our 4 years and beyond. Chi O love is enduring, trusting, compassionate, patient, and most of all, realistic. We can’t wait for you to feel that love!

XO, Anna Kate Carroll”

We are so grateful for you AK ❤️

We are so excited to introduce another featuring Lucy Gratz from Tupelo, Mississippi ☀️🌈

Here’s what Lucy has to say about her time in Chi O:

“Choosing Chi O was one of the easiest decisions I made during rush because it felt like home from the very beginning! Coming from out of state, I was nervous about finding a place that felt genuine and comfortable. But from day one of recruitment, I felt genuinely loved, valued, and like I truly belonged. My sisters have encouraged me to grow both personally and professionally, celebrated every milestone with me, and shown up in all the little ways that mean the most Whether it’s a coffee date, a walk, a check-in, or simply being there when I need them, every friendship is intentional and so meaningful.
Chi O has given me my very best friends, my biggest supporters, and women | look up to every single day. I am so grateful to call this place home and these incredible women my sisters!”

Lucy we adore you !!!
