Congratulations to Concord‘s own Larry Marrs on receiving the Old Dominion Heritage Award for his outstanding reporting on the history, heritage, and culture of Virginia.

Mr. Marrs is not only an accomplished journalist, but also a Concord University alum and an Instructor of Multimedia, continuing to inspire the next generation of media professionals through his work in and out of the classroom.

The Department of Mass Communications at Concord University would like to congratulate the digital team at WVNS 59News on winning it's third straight Best Website from the Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters on March 28th. The MCOM 420 Special Project class had a successful broadcast of today’s Concord football game against West Virginia Wesleyan on WVVA. Mr. Marrs’ group of students worked together to put on a great broadcast. Thanks to William Bailey for making the broadcast possible as he served as engineer for the project.

Mr. Marrs’ MCOM 420 Special Project class completed a successful test today for a broadcast of a live football game to be aired October 25th on WVVA. Thanks to Mr. William Bailey for engineering everything and having the equipment in working order. You can watch the stream here.
