The professional and personal development organization for all school counseling graduate students (past & present) at the University of Georgia.

The University of Georgia School Counseling Association (UGASCA) promotes the professional and personal development of all school counseling graduate students. Leadership is provided by faculty, staff, and community resource persons in the form of workshops, guest speakers, and social and cultural events. The organization also provides a mentorship program which aides with the transition of new students into the program.

It’s our favorite week of the year! National School Counseling Week is a great time to reflect on our career and impact. We also like how it’s not necessarily a “school counselor appreciation week.” We want to take this time to EDUCATE about and ADVOCATE for our role so that we can beat serve students. This week we will be sharing some thoughts on that, so join along! //

Marie McGaffrey has worked at Bone Appetit in Aderhold Hall for seven years and will move to The Station at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Today was her last day.

As a small measure of thankfulness, Dean Denise Spangler presented her with a Jamie Calkin Art print of Aderhold Hall and a journal signed by COE students, faculty and staff. Thank you Ms. Marie! ❤️

Several of our students have loved getting to know Marie over the past years! We will miss her at Aderhold!
