The Fiddlers 5K is back and better than ever!🐻 Join us on September 26 for the Fiddlers 5K Fun Day. This event has quickly become our favorite way to kick off the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention!

This year, we’re switching things up: The start and finish lines are reversed, so runners will start at the Hebrew the Bear statue on campus before heading up the hill toward Beaty Street. Get your lungs ready for that incline start!

This year, there’s more to enjoy after the race, including:
-Kids Fun Run
-Family Fun Zone with inflatables and face painting

Athens State University’s partnership with Territorium has grown significantly over the past year, expanding from 8 STRADA badges in the fall of 2025 to 28 by the end of the summer of 2026.

This initiative will continue to expand this fall, supporting Dr. Catherine Wehlburg's Career Advantage initiative and the University’s commitment to serving adult learners + preparing students for today’s workforce.
