CANOPY STUDIO

Bibliophiles unite! We are hosting our first-ever quiet reading hour (in slings!) on Saturday, July 11 at 4pm. Bring a book, cozy up in a sling, and enjoy the silence while you get lost in one more chapter of your summer read. All ages welcome. You do not need to be a current student. Children 12 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

Attendance is free, but donations are always welcome. We suggest registering online through the link in our profile. All participants who will be in aerial equipment need to sign a waiver. This is not an aerial class - no skills will be taught.

Open Mic Night is fast approaching! Save the date for Friday, June 26 at 8pm. Open Mic Night is not limited to aerial acts or current students. We welcome community members that are poets, musicians, dancers, and more!

Congratulations to Amelia Rehman on graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science - Psychology and a Bachelors of Arts - Spanish minor in Latinx Studies! Amelia has received a merit scholarship to attend a Masters in Nursing program at Emory University. Incredible!

Amelia has been training at Canopy on lyra for the last four months. We are so very proud of you. Do great things!

We have more graduates!

Congratulations to Nichole Piccolo on graduating Cum Laude from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing plus a Financial Technology Certificate. Nichole will be working in Athens while applying for jobs in UI/UX and product design. While in school, Nichole was involved with the Asian American Student Association, Catholic Student Association, and Delta Phi Epsilon sorority.

Nicole has been training at Canopy since 2009 in trapeze, fabrics, small trapeze, and invented equipment, as well as being an instructor since 2019.
