Accounting Club Meetings - Fall 2026!

Interested in accounting, curious about different career paths, or just looking for a chance to hear some useful advice outside of class? Join us for one—or all!—of our Accounting Club meetings this semester. Everyone is welcome - undergraduate and graduate!

Meetings are from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 pm via Zoom.

October 22 — What We Wish Every Accounting Student Knew!
This is one you won’t want to miss! Two accounting faculty members will share advice, insights, and things they wish every accounting student knew. We’ll talk about everything from classes and careers to faculty connections, opportunities, professional development, and how to make the most of your time as an accounting student. Bring your questions!

November 12 — Accounting in Non-Profit!
Hear from two guest speakers about what it’s like to work in accounting in the nonprofit sector. We’ll explore their career paths, the unique side of nonprofit accounting, and how accounting skills can be used to support organizations and their missions.

The Accounting Club is hosting two special online meetings, and you can earn 10 extra credit points in each of your accounting classes for attending one of them. The meetings cover the same content and are offered at two different times to accommodate students’ schedules:

Recent Changes to the Bachelor of Science in Accounting

The presenter will be our very own Dr. Stacie Hughes. The meetings can be as interactive as you’d like. Dr. Hughes will present lots of useful information. She and other accounting faculty will also be happy to answer questions and provide guidance throughout the meeting, so bring your questions, comments, concerns, or other thoughts related to any of the accounting programs. We hope to see you there! Note: While you are welcome to attend both meetings, you can only earn the extra credit once (maximum of 10 points).
