Happy International Picnic Day!
Main Library is the perfect place for any campus picnic. Pick up a new read, grab your favorite snacks, and head outside to enjoy a little sunshine and a good story.
Uga seems to agree!

Good news! The noisy situation at McBay has been handled, and now we don't need to close the building on Wednesday and Thursday.
But don't forget all of our locations will be closed for Juneteenth on Friday!

Welcome to Piper Cole and Marisa Mizzoni, the newest members of the Wormsloe Fellows program. We look forward to the results of their work at the Center for Research and Education at Wormsloe, our interdisciplinary research site along Georgia's coast. In the press release on our website, you can read more about Piper's research on magnolia trees and Marisa's field work involving bats, as well as other research taking place at CREW.

For today's Pride Month highlight, we recommend you take a look at the exhibit on the Committee on Gay Education, which was founded in 1971 by UGA students John Hoard and Bill Green. This student organization was the first to foster solidarity among the LGBTQ+ community on campus.
Celebrate Pride Month and learn more about the CGE’s accomplishments through the UGA Libraries display, located on the first floor of the main library!

If you are looking for a quiet place to study next week, we suggest you skip the McBay Science Library. A summer HVAC construction project is expected to be really noisy during business hours on Monday and Tuesday, and we are closing on the Wednesday and Thursday to save your ears from the worst of it. As a reminder, you can always sign in to our online catalog and request books to be picked up at another campus location, and we highly encourage that for next week.
All of our locations will be closed for the Juneteenth holiday, and McBay should be back in business by Saturday.
Thanks for your patience!
