Young Dawgs provides the experience high school juniors and seniors need to succeed in their future education and career.

The Young Dawgs program prepares high-achieving high school juniors and seniors for post-secondary education and future careers in their areas of interest. Participants in the Young Dawgs program are placed in internships where they are allowed to engage in their intended field, and work with college students, professors, and professionals in the Athens community. In this immersive learning environment, Young Dawgs get hands-on experience, and a real look into their field of interest.

Young Dawgs has a summer program, too! It's a 6-week, 20-hour per week (on average), internship program that focuses on STEM–science, technology, engineering, and math.

Students are assigned to a professor based on student’s interest after an interview with a professor. Internship placements are competitive.

There is NO COST to participate in the program.
