Last week at Prism LGBTQ Youth Art Program we had an equally educational and entertaining visit from our Fulbright Language Teaching Assistants (FLTAs) friends from India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia and Cat Cutcher, who shared art, games, fun facts and lots of treats and laughs with us! Check out some highlights below!
Last week we also said goodbye to Prism volunteer Maddy Morris (they/them) who has been with us the last two years and graduated from OU last week! Of their time with Prism, Maddy said:
“It’s been so much fun to see the heart and creativity each student put into their art. Wednesday has been my favorite day of the week because I got to hang out and create art with some wonderful people. I will miss it dearly!”
This week we will be joined by returning guest artist, Nancy Baur (she/her), who will show us how to make Rainbow I-Spy games with some of our colored rice with a recycled plastic bottle and some small alphabet beads. This activity is a great tool to help with mindfulness and reducing anxiety while making it a personal project. Come join us at 3:00pm on the third floor of Yamada House!
