A great example of how maps can be used for more than just finding a location on the Earth's surface. They can be illustrative, metaphoric, and tell us stories. Also, this is one of the best examples of the scale of the solar system (and the universe by extension) that I've come across.

Hey everyone, you may have gotten the email from Dr. Buckley about tonight's meeting but here's another reminder anyway. Robert Delach from the Voinovich School will be giving a talk about the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap. He is the Senior Geospatial Manager there, and is pretty new to campus so he may be a good resource for anyone interested in related fields. Also we will go over a few other things club related. Hope to see you all at 6!

Hi everyone,

Here is the link to the registration page for the Race for the Cure this weekend. The race/walk is on Sunday starting at 10 am. You can register online or in person on Sunday. I encourage you to register, it even has an option to sleep in for the cure and you would still get a t-shirt. Student registration is $15 or you can donate as well. Every little bit helps! Hope to see you Sunday.

Hey Geographers! Our first official Geography Club meeting of the Fall 2016 semester is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30 at 6pm in Clippinger 119! We will be holding officer elections for the year, at this meeting. More info in the OrgSyc link. Hope to see you all there!
