Dean Shelley Nuss was the keynote speaker at "A Northside Conversation: Connecting for a Healthy Gwinnett" on June 3.

Nuss focused on the importance of compassion and empathy in treatment during her "UGA School of Medicine: Building a Healthier Georgia" presentation, speaking on efforts the school is taking to expand community engagement.

On May 15, the University of Georgia School of Medicine hosted a Second Look event for admitted students from the inaugural class. The optional, post-acceptance campus visit is designed to help applicants make final decisions of where they will complete their medical school education.
