📬📦 Students won’t be able to receive mail or packages until desks open on Aug. 14, so plan shipments accordingly! Once they’re settled, though, getting a care package is one of the best surprises. 😀🎉 Students can find their building’s mailing address on their residence hall page. https://buff.ly/3PZZ3aH

Tips:
- There are off-campus options for out-of-state families. These may be carrier stores or ship-to-store options.
- Items ordered from the UGA Bookstore will be stored prior to a student arriving.

You want furniture measurements, and we have a solution for you!

Stop by the furniture showroom in Black-Diallo-Miller Hall to see a selection of furniture from halls around campus.

🕗️ Open 8:30-11 a.m. on the first day of each new student orientation session this summer.
🛏️ Not every piece of furniture from every hall is featured. We have selected the most common pieces from across campus.

We’re continuing through the residence hall selection process, and here’s your latest update! 🏡 Remember, this is just a snapshot of availability right now, and things can change.

Due to a shorter week, a smaller group of students will be selecting spaces at this time. Because this is a student-driven process, availability can shift daily, and it can be difficult to predict what spaces may be available when your selection time begins.

If you have an upcoming appointment time, we recommend having a plan—and a backup plan. If you’re in a roommate pair, be sure to talk through your options in advance so you’re ready when it’s your time to choose.

All incoming first-year students are guaranteed a space on campus. If you have not yet received your appointment time, continue to check your email for updates. Another round of appointment times will take place following this week as we continue working toward everyone having a space.

No matter when your selection time is, you will have a space, and our team will be here to support you throughout the process.

Although the default position for twin beds will be lofted to the highest position, students in some halls may request a different height beginning in July in The Dawg House portal, but you can also wait until after move in to adjust it yourself or submit a work request for a staff member to make the adjustment. https://buff.ly/BpnlZ1Z.

We’re three weeks into the residence hall selection process, and here’s your latest update on availability across campus! 🏡 Remember, this is just a snapshot of availability right now, and things can change.

There were no appointment times this week as our staff worked to offer room change requests to those who requested them. If you currently have a room change request in the system, be sure to check your email regularly for updates.

Outside of that, availability remains fairly consistent. Brumby Hall, Russell Hall, and Black-Diallo-Miller Hall are mostly full, though you may still find a space or two in those buildings. There is still plenty of availability in our low-rise communities, along with apartment options in University Village East. You can also still find spaces in Mary Lyndon Hall on Myers Quad. Be back next week for another update!

The next round of appointment time updates have been emailed to students' UGA email. (June4)

Additional rounds will take place over the next several weeks. Some students will have a later appointment time to choose a space and should continue to check their UGA email for updates.

Things to note:
🛌 All first-year students are guaranteed an on-campus space
👉️ Desired roommate pairs should be set up in The Dawg House prior to the appointment time
📆 The room selection period ends June 25, 2026 at 9 a.m. ET.

Tour Boggs Hall at UGA with us!

We’re two weeks into the residence hall selection process, and here’s your latest snapshot of availability across campus! 🏡

If you prefer a first-year high-rise, Creswell Hall currently has the most availability. Low-rise halls also still have space (plus in-room sinks), and apartments remain open in Vandiver Hall and University Village East. There are a few spots left in Myers Hall, and Mary Lyndon Hall on Myers Quad is a great option. And as a surprise, we’re still seeing availability in Building 2266, our newest residence hall!

Because this is a student-driven process, availability is constantly changing, and we’re not able to predict what will be open in future rounds. This should be used as a guide- not a guarantee. Our best advice: have a plan and a backup plan.

We’ll continue to keep you updated along the way!
