Full circle moment here. We provide the burger beef for Athens and Wyalusing school districts.
Today we became the owners of these two animals that are from two students, from each district. These animals will eventually be sourced back as beef to each district = full circle.

Some moments remind us exactly why our community is so special.

Yesterday at the Troy Fair Junior Livestock Auction, 14-year-old Evan Westerfield made the selfless decision to donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of his market hog in memory of Kennsley Middlecamp to Kids Can’t Fight Cancer Alone.

He quietly put this plan together on his own because he wanted to honor Kennsley’s memory and celebrate the joy she found at the fair and with animals.

To say we are humbled would be an understatement.

When the bidding began, something incredible happened. Evan’s 237-pound hog sold for an astounding $100 per pound, creating an extraordinary gift that will directly help local children and families facing childhood cancer.

That didn’t happen because of one person. It happened because an entire community came together.

A heartfelt thank you to Nicholas Meat LLC for purchasing Evan’s hog and helping bring his vision to life. Your generosity turned one young man’s act of kindness into something truly unforgettable.

We also want to recognize Mike Wilson and Glenn Shores, who actively bid throughout the auction. Your willingness to step forward and support Evan’s mission helped make this incredible moment possible. Thank you for believing in this young man and for honoring Kennsley’s memory.

At just 14 years old, you reminded all of us what compassion, generosity, and leadership look like. Your heart is far bigger than any championship banner or blue ribbon could ever represent. Because of you, Kennsley’s legacy will continue to bring hope to other children and families when they need it most.

🌟 Marissa Randall 🌟

Marissa is the daughter of Darrin and Holly Randall and is a 16-year-old student at Athens Area High School. She is actively involved in Athens FFA, where she serves as the 2026–2027 Student Advisor, and is also a member of the National Honor Society. A former Troy Fair Junior Board member, Marissa is passionate about agriculture and enjoys photography, helping on her family's farm, and serving her community.

Marissa is excited to compete for the title of 2026 Troy Fair Queen and looks forward to promoting agriculture, leadership, and the many opportunities the Troy Fair provides to youth and our community.
