Our 2026 Film, Art, and Cultural History in Berlin study abroad program is officially underway!

Students have already begun exploring one of Europe's most historically and culturally significant cities. These photos capture the group at two iconic Berlin landmarks: the Brandenburg Gate, one of Germany's most recognizable symbols, and Humboldt University, where the program's classes are taking place. We're so delighted to see our students immerse themselves in Berlin's rich history, art, film, and culture!

Please join us on April 8th for the next event featuring our Max Kade Writer-in-Residence, Jan Brandt!

The conversation will focus on Brandt’s past and current work examining familial relationships among Germans in the U.S. and Germany.

Please note that the entirety of the talk will be spoken in German.

Join us in congratulating Dr. Victoria Hasko for receiving the 2026 Richard Reiff Award for Campus Internationalization!

As director of UGA’s Russian Flagship Program, Dr. Hasko has helped build the largest program of its kind in the United States while expanding global learning opportunities for students across our university. Her leadership has strengthened language education, fostered international engagement, and helped prepare the next generation of global leaders. We are proud to celebrate this well deserved recognition of her outstanding contributions to global education here at UGA.
