🌟GSHP is incredibly excited to host Dr. Rowell Daniels, PharmD, MS, FASHP on Thursday, September 8th!

Dr. Daniels currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina overseeing all acute and ambulatory hospital services. In his 24 years at UNC, Dr. Daniels has served in numerous roles including Director of Pharmacy for UNC Hospitals and Executive Associate Dean for the University of North Carolina, Eshelman School of Pharmacy – Chapel Hill.

Dr. Daniels received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Georgia. Please join us in welcoming him back to campus!🌟

🔍How do I become a GSHP member❓

Membership dues:

✅Local Dues: $20 (PayPal or Check/cash)

✅State Dues: $20 to GSHP

✅ASHP/National Dues: $54/year (optional)

If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to us!

We are seeking 6 students to serve as committee leaders who will work closely with executive board members throughout the school year on various projects, events, and services put on by each committee. Serving as a committee leader is an excellent way to become more involved with GSHP and further develop your leadership skills! Terms run from September 2022 – April 2023, and you must be a member of GSHP to apply.

There are two committees: Education & Professional Development and Membership & Marketing. 4 students will be selected for the Education & Professional Development Committee and 2 students will be selected for the Membership & Marketing Committee.

Applications are due Friday, September 2nd at noon (please scan QR Code).

Join us on Thursday, September 1st during Org Hour for our first speakers of the year! This Young Alumni Residency Panel will feature recent UGA graduates who are currently completing PGY-1 and PGY-2 residencies. Please scan QR code or click on link below to register for our event. On July 29th, GSHP officers and members joined hands with the LaundryCares Foundation and Dr. Mehmood (Wellstar Health System) to host a health fair during a free laundry day event at Bustin Suds Laundromat. The event was a collaborative effort to make resources available to underserved communities through a local laundromat. GSHP provided blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, as well as health education to event attendees. Go Dawgs!

It was so great to see everyone this past weekend in Savannah, GA for the GSHP Spring Meeting! 🌟 Congratulations to all of the poster presenters and finalists on the awesome presentations!! 💊🌟

Candidates can run for up to 3 elected positions and 1 appointed position. All candidates should submit a statement addressing their qualifications, ideas for the position(s), involvement in GSHP, and anything else that demonstrates they are the best candidate.
