The 2026 Georgia Legislative Session started this week and we are incredibly proud to introduce two students that are representing CAES through the Georgia Legislative Internship this year!

Rebecca Evans, a Poultry Science major from Vidalia, Georgia, is interning with the Georgia Agribusiness Council. Here’s how Rebecca describes her internship opportunity: “I’m really grateful for the opportunity to work at the Capitol this session, gaining hands-on experience while supporting Georgia agriculture with the Georgia Agribusiness Council.”

Elle Moss, an Environmental Economics and Management major from Madison, Georgia, is interning with the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee, Senator Russ Goodman. Looking ahead, Elle says “I’m very excited to spend the legislative session with Senator Goodman and the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee to gain insights into the state policies that directly affect Georgia’s farmers.”
