SOCKTOBER 2026 IS HERE!

A little giving can make a BIG difference!

The Ohio University Graduate Student Senate is excited to be part of Socktober 2026, a fundraising initiative to support our graduate student community!
This year, we’re raising funds to furnish the Graduate Commons, creating a more welcoming and comfortable space for graduate students to connect, collaborate and study.

You can support this initiative and snag a pair of exclusive OU-themed socks designed by our talented Visual Communication students!

Every contribution and every gift brings us one step closer to our goal!

We were glad to welcome Dr. Paul Castelino, Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Ohio University, who shared helpful information about CAPS, available resources, and how graduate students can access support when they need it.
Thank you, Dr. Castelino, for taking the time to speak with us.
We appreciate your support always.

We understand how overwhelming grad- school can be. Between academic responsibilities, research, teaching, and personal commitments, it can sometimes feel as though there is so much to manage.

At the Graduate Student Senate (GSS), we want to remind you that it’s okay not to be okay, and you don’t have to go through difficult moments alone.
Whether you need someone to talk to, a safe space to share your concerns, or additional support, There are resources available to help.

Remember, your mental health matters just as much as your academic success.
