We’re back with another !

This time we’re introducing our Vice President of Social Standards, McKinley Norris! McKinley will be a 4th year student in the fall, and is from Gray, GA, majoring in furnishings and interiors.

“Serving as the vice president of social standards has been one of the greatest experiences of my college years. This position has allowed me to grow closer with our chapter members and provide help to them in any way I can. I’ve learned so many lessons of resilience, accountability, strength, and genuine friendship here at Delta Gamma. Each of these lessons have made me a better student, leader, friend, and individual overall. I’m so thankful that I am a part of such an amazing chapter surrounded by kind and uplifting women who constantly encourage each other to do great things. I wouldn’t be who I am today without Delta Gamma. I’m forever grateful for this chapter and all it has, and will continue to bring me!!”

It’s time for another !

This time we’re introducing our Vice President of Finance, Jaclyn Cunha! Jaclyn will be a 3rd year student in the fall, and is from Long Island, NY, majoring in accounting.

“Serving as Vice President of Finance for Delta Gamma is truly one of the greatest honors of my college experience. Coming to UGA from out of state, I was nervous about finding my place and building a community so far from home. Delta Gamma changed that from the very beginning. The girls in this chapter welcomed me with so much kindness, support, and friendship, making Athens feel like home faster than I ever imagined. Through Delta Gamma, I have met some of my very best friends, the girls who have been there for every laugh, challenge, and milestone, and who I know will be standing beside me as future bridesmaids one day. Being able to serve a chapter that has given me lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories means more to me than I can put into words. I am so grateful for the opportunity to give back to the people and place that have shaped my college experience in the best way possible.”

Today we’re excited to share a with Barbershop House!! Here’s what Emma has to say about living with her best friends…

“It’s hard to put into words how much Barber House has meant to us. Going into our senior year we knew we wanted a house for all of our friends to come together in one place, but we never imagined the true excitement and joy that Barber would bring us. Living with my best friends in Barber our senior year truly was a dream come true. From the late-night talks, sleepovers, cooking dinner together, laughter echoing through every room, and moments we knew we’d miss before they were even over, I’ve never felt so close to the people I love so much. Without a doubt the most unforgettable year of my life!”

We’re back with another Why DG Wednesday and we’re so excited to introduce Holly Nesbitt from MC ‘25! Here’s what she has to say about her time in Delta Gamma…

“DG was the first house I walked into during rush, and I had no idea what to expect from the whole process. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with so much kindness and genuine interest that I immediately felt valued and comfortable. On bid day, everyone was so excited and welcoming, and I knew right away that I had made the right choice. Since August, every girl in DG, no matter the PC, has been incredibly inclusive and supportive. One of my favorite parts of DG is the fact that I have continued to make new friends throughout every month of the year. I am so comfortable being around all my friends in DG, and I can’t wait to continue building friendships and making memories over the next three years!!“

This time we’re introducing our Vice President of Communications, Sophia Schier! Sophia will be a 4th year student in the fall, and is from Orlando, FL, majoring in political science and international affairs.

“There is seriously no place like DG! The women in this chapter have impacted my life in more ways than I ever expected, and I’m so lucky to be surrounded by such thoughtful, supportive, and genuine friends. From living in the house sophomore year, to hanging out with my DG family, I have made so many friendships that I will cherish for life. I am so excited to serve as Delta Iota’s Vice President of Communications and to give back to a chapter that means so much to me!”

A big congratulations to our grads!!! We are so sad to see you go, but cannot wait to see everything you accomplish. DG loves you! ❤️

“I’m so honored to serve as the Vice President of Programming this year! Being a part of Delta Gamma has shaped my college experience in the best way. From the very beginning, it has given me the most amazing friendships and memories, and I am so grateful to have this chapter in my life! I have met girls who are so positive, supportive, and genuine. I feel so lucky to be in a sisterhood that lifts each other up and is always there for one another. Delta Gamma is truly my home away from home, and I am so excited to give back to the chapter that means so much to me! I can’t wait to make more memories with my sisters!”
