🦋✨🪽💖 Today we mourn the loss of Dolly Parton, an icon and lifelong champion of education whose impact will be felt for generations.

Since 1995, her Imagination Library has gifted over 300 million free books to children around the world, sparking a love of reading before they even set foot in a classroom.

Through the Dollywood Foundation, she worked to help students succeed in school and increase graduation rates, and her scholarship program has supported students for over two decades.

Here in east Tennessee, Dolly's belief that every child deserves access to books and opportunity helped shape a culture of literacy that continues today, including Tennessee's statewide Governor's Books from Birth Foundation, which expanded her Imagination Library statewide.

We are grateful for leaders like Dolly Parton who remind us that education is one of the greatest gifts we can give.
