"What if I do something really evil?"
"I've already apologized, but maybe I wasn't sorry enough."
"What if there's something I was supposed to do and didn't?"
For some people, the way of faith ceases to be a journey deeper into the Father's love, and becomes a kind of fearful flight from condemnation. One where, as Christian author and professor Alan Noble writes, "there's always one more thing" that you have to do to be safe.
Check out the link below where Noble describes his experience of moral OCD--a disorder where the thing we care about the most is turned against us.
If your struggling with the symptoms Noble describes, the good news is that it's possible to find healing! I'd love to talk with you about how at www.innerroomathens.com.

Alan Noble writes that OCD requires him to keep faith in God’s goodness as mediated through the wise voices of other people who will his good.
