They have recently started studying the Renaissance and practiced “painting the Sistine Chapel” last week in class.

⚖️ The Mock Trial Team met last Thursday night with team leader Attorney Davis Delich and guest instructors Judge Matthew Huggins (Limestone County Circuit Court) and Judge Gray West (Limestone County District Court).

✏️ Students learned the fundamentals of opening and closing statements, direct examination, and cross-examination while gaining valuable insight from experienced legal professionals.

🌎 🍽️ Learning Spanish goes far beyond the classroom!

Ms. Herndon’s Spanish 2 students recently had the opportunity to experience eating at a Latin restaurant featuring cuisine from countries beyond Mexico, including Ecuador, Cuba, and Argentina.

This experience was a delicious reminder that Latin American culture and cuisine are incredibly diverse, with each country offering its own unique traditions, flavors, and history. What better way to learn about culture than to experience it firsthand?

Congratulations to our 2026-2027 Limestone LEAD participants:

(L-R) Blake Sherron, Anniston Tice, Aubri Plitsch, Bryson McMullin, Jack Plummer, Tia Lundberg, Wyatt Wallace, and Robert Valdez.

Over the course of the school year, LEAD students will learn about team building, community services, healthcare, local and state government, cultural arts, business and industry, and agriculture. Most recently, LEAD students completed Flawless Delivery training, a hospitality course that allows students valuable, real-world experience while also earning college credit.
