Athens VFW Post 2872 is not closing.

We’re growing.

Our mission remains the same: supporting veterans and serving our community.

What is changing is our visibility, our outreach through new social media platforms, and our commitment to strengthening our role as a gathering place for veterans, their families, and the greater Athens community. Our goal is simple: build upon the strong foundation that already exists while creating new opportunities for connection, service, fellowship, and community involvement.

You will continue to enjoy Thursday Night Bingo, Friday Night Live Music, hall rentals, and the traditions that have made this Post an important part of Athens for generations. At the same time, we are working to expand community partnerships, veteran support initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and programs that bring people together in meaningful ways.

We’re excited about the future and look forward to sharing new events, programs, partnerships, and opportunities to serve together.
