AIM Club is so excited to welcome our newest members!
Dr. Liao teaches advertising communication and media strategy and activation. Her research aims to gain a deep understanding of the effects of different technological affordances (especially that of emerging artificial intelligence AI systems) on persuasion, usersβ cognitive information processing, privacy concerns, misinformation susceptibility, psychological well-being, and trust.
Dr. Porter is the Karen W. and Daniel J. King Distinguished Professor in Advertising. Prior to joining the faculty at Grady, Porter spent twenty years at Louisiana State University, where he founded the Social Media Analysis and Creation (SMAC) Lab. His research focuses on emerging media, brand activism and power.
Dr. Cloudy's research seeks to understand the role of digital media and communication in fueling hate and distrust between groups, and what can be done to attenuate this. To better understand the role of digital media and communication in the formation and change of intergroup beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors, his research focuses on three main areas: (1) group communication in online networks, (2) mediated intergroup contact, and (3) communication initiatives and interventions.
