RCA RECAP: What a fun week exploring the beauty of new beginnings. Our days have been filled with bird studies, egg-themed play, and deep-dives into our latest sensory setups. There is nothing quite like the curiosity of a child in the spring sunshine.

This week at RCA:

We are soaring into the fascinating world of Tree Birds! Our classrooms have transformed into treetop habitats as we explore the lives of bluebirds, woodpeckers, eagles, and more.

Our students are engaging in hands-on discovery, learning exactly what these feathered friends need to thrive—from finding “fuel” like seeds and worms to understanding the vital role of birdhouses in providing protection and shelter. Through interactive games like “Hungry Birds” and creative building projects, we are fostering a deep appreciation for nature and the importance of generosity toward the living things in our community.

It’s a week filled with curiosity, high-quality learning, and plenty of outdoor exploration!

We are welcoming a new week of discovery as our students embark on a study of Pond Life. Our classrooms are shifting focus toward the wonders of reptilian life, blending early environmental science with creative expression.

Throughout the week, our curriculum invites students to explore the unique textures and patterns found in nature. Through a series of curated, multi-sensory lessons, we are challenging our young learners to refine their cognitive mapping and mathematical reasoning while strengthening their fine motor precision.

From analyzing the geometric symmetry of shells to engaging with classic literature that brings these creatures to life, each day is intentionally designed to foster a deep sense of inquiry. We are looking forward to watching our students connect with these concepts through deep, focused play and collaborative exploration.

It’s a week for curious minds and steady progress here at RCA.

Our Mighty Movers had some very special (and very feathery) visitors this week! We took a break from the action to make some new friends as a few ducks dropped by to say hello.

A huge congratulations to our Book Drive Champions, Ms. Destiny’s Early Learners, who collected an incredible 707 books! They’ve earned a well-deserved Ice Cream Party for their amazing effort. 🍦

In total, our community donated 1,283 books—a milestone that truly reflects our commitment to excellence in fostering a love for reading. Thank you to all our families for your incredible generosity.

We also had a fantastic time celebrating Dr. Seuss week all week long! From “Green Eggs and Ham” to “Sleep Book” and “Cat in the Hat,” the dress-up days brought so much joy and creativity to our halls.

We had the joy of hosting a bridal shower for our Director, Ms. Brooke! From the bounce castle energy to our signature ‘Ledford Latte’, it was the perfect way to celebrate new beginnings!

Thank you to Ms. Destiny, Mrs. Tina, and Ms. Lexi for hosting such a beautiful event! To our incredible parents- thank you for showering Ms. Brooke with so much love and making this milestone truly unforgettable!

This Week at RCA:

We are learning all about how baby animals stay safe!

Our little learners are exploring the letters L and C, getting creative with camouflage painting, and practicing their math skills by counting elephants. 🐘

We’re also discovering why some animals have bright colors and learning about the special bonds between mamas and their babies. Most importantly, we are diving into the ways God protects us, just as our parents do.

It’s going to be a week full of hands-on fun, creativity, and meaningful learning here at RCA!

This Week at RCA:

Love was in the air! Our little learners spent a heart-filled week celebrating friendship through hands-on creativity and sweet surprises. From crafting colorful suncatchers and “love bug” puppets to sharing special treats with classmates, every moment was a reminder of how much we care for one another.

We topped off our celebrations by decorating our space with paper chains and exchanging handmade valentines in our special mailbags. It was a week defined by kindness, big smiles, and the joy of being together.
