Would you like to join a fun and kind team of girls and learn how to play tennis? Your opportunity is coming up next week!

Girls Tennis Team practices begin next Monday, August 17th at 7am on the HS tennis courts. We will teach you all you need to know about tennis so you can participate and enjoy a sport that you can enjoy playing well into adulthood.

Wear something comfortable that you can sweat in. Tennis shoes preferred (fashion sneakers and running shoes don't provide lateral movement support). Bring a racquet, water and a towel.

Join our SportsYou team with the code YMZB-ZEMD so that you can see our team calendar and practice schedule. We have a very compact season from 8/17-10/17.

Our second annual Student Leadership Summit brought together a group of randomly selected seniors to share ideas, brainstorm solutions, and explore ways to make Octorara an even better place for students.

This year’s summit centered around our Portrait of a Brave, encouraging students to think about how the qualities of a Responsible Self-Manager, Critical Thinker & Problem Solver, Effective Communicator & Collaborator, Person of Character and Integrity, and Life-Ready Learner connect to their ideas for strengthening our schools.

We are grateful for the thoughtful perspectives, honest conversations, and leadership our students brought to the table. Their voices matter, and their ideas can help shape the future of Octorara.

Lace up, Braves!

The Octorara Cross Country team is hosting a 5K Race and Mile Walk on Friday, August 28 at 6:00 p.m. on the Octorara XC course, located next to Octorara Intermediate School.

5K Race: $25
Mile Walk: $20
Kids Races: FREE for students in grades K–6

Top overall male and female runners will receive an award, and kids race participants can qualify for the Lancaster/Lebanon League Elementary Championship!

Smiles, laughter, and plenty of play!

Students participating in our Extended School Year (ESY) program are already enjoying the brand-new playground at the Primary Learning Center. The new space is filled with opportunities to climb, explore, and make memories, and we can't wait for all of our youngest Braves to experience it when the school year begins!

Jesus is a 20-year-old learner from the Octorara Area School District who has been part of the CCIU’s Child and Career Development Center (CCDC) campuses for the past seven years, beginning at CCDC Coatesville and now attending CCDC Engle. A kind, intelligent, and creative learner in our Multiple Disabilities Support Program, Jesus brings a smile that truly lights up the room.

Jesus enjoys listening to stories during academics and showcasing his artistic talents, and he works exceptionally hard in therapy sessions. With support from his team, Jesus has made tremendous progress in socialization and now confidently uses his communication device to greet and connect with peers and staff.
