We engage over 10% of the Benedictine College student body in our ensembles, some of which have received international attention. Are you a high school band senior? Interested in a college band scholarship? Come and join us for our Benedictine Bands Play Along / Audition day! Play with Benedictine College Wind Ensemble, learn about scholarships, you can even audition!

Scholarships are available for Athletic and Concert Bands. All instruments are considered.

This weekend you can join our Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band (7pm Saturday) and Orchestra (5pm Sunday) in the O’Malley-McAllister Auditorium , for their ‘Macabre Christmas’ and ‘Advent and Overtures’ concerts. Highlights include Guest Conductor Dr. Michael W. Mapp (Director of Bands, New Mexico State University), Dr. Deana Eberhart von Fange (Mezzo Soprano), an orchestra premiere by our own faculty member Dr. Peter Swanson, and music by Holst, Granger, Schubert, and Vaughan Williiams. We hope to see you there!

We've welcomed Dr. Peter Meechan to campus as our Composer in Residence for Benedictine Bands. He'll be here all week working with student composers and our Chamber Winds, who give their consortium premiere of his 'James Webb's Pillars (from a Starry Night)’ this Saturday! First rehearsal is done, and we can't wait for the concert!
