Made this spirit doll today. Her name is Dolly and her message for me was “Stand Up!” Like so many I’ve been deeply touched by the passing into the next realm of Dolly Parton. As a young girl with a b***y body she helped me to not be so afraid and stand up for myself. As a grown woman working in corporate America in the 1980’s she showed me I could make it just fine. As a childless Oma knowing my idol also walked this path and yet left behind so much more beyond genetic memory, she left us with lasting lessons of a life well lived and shared. Beyond her grave she inspires me to face any denials and Stand Up for myself and for others as needed. Thank you Dolly, I will always love you too 💕

I did it! After years of contemplating, I finally got out there and did it. And interestingly enough, on the day that would have been my mother’s 79th birthday. After falling into the water on my first attempt to stand, I felt a calm and a whisper…just get back on you can do this, nothing to be ashamed of by falling just get back on and don’t worry how it looks…it looks like someone getting back on and that is a good thing. This is what 60 years will look like for me. Born in the year of the fire horse, and getting back on again! So grateful for all the opportunities to do just that all these years of my precious life. Looking forward to the next time I paddle, and I’m not worrying about falling because I know I can get back up…not afraid. Thank you for being such a good friend and guide. 🏄🏻‍♀️💞🏄🏻‍♀️

I was born under the astrological water sign of the moon, and with that comes the pull toward earth. I’ve been labeled “kapha” and described as “earthy”. While remaining childless, many consider me “motherly”. It follows me and I flow like water toward her. She makes me feel beautiful and whole. Loved as I am without any reservation or judgement. The energetic pull so natural and smooth.
From the first time I laid eyes on Morro Rock awash in water. To the coastline of Oregon and the red rock cliff of Lake Powell and the Grand Canyon. Every time I am pulled and the rocks speak to me. Show their faces and histories with lines and scratches.

Stonehenge is a bit different. These are shaped, and displaced pieces of earth. They have a purpose, and it is a powerful circle indeed. I will be grateful to my last breath for this opportunity to stand, sit, touch, and feel the presence of this monumental effort and creation.

Our workshop will start with a creative natural dyeing experience with Bobbi Matuk of Couleur de la vie. We will dye a silk shawl with 7 pigments representing the 7 chakras.
