🎨 HANDMADE ARTISTS & MAKERS, WE WANT YOU! ✨
Applications are OPEN for A Show of Hands Holiday Market at The Pottery Atascadero! Join us for a weekend celebrating handmade work, local artists, and all things creative.
Ceramics, jewelry, textiles, paintings, woodworking, and more… all mediums are welcome! Whether you’re an established maker or just starting to share your work, we’d love to see what you create.
✨ Here are the details:
🗓️ Friday, December 4th, 5–9pm
🗓️ Saturday, December 5th, 12–5pm
🛍️ $50 booth fee for a 6ft table
⏰ Applications due October 30th at midnight
This is a great opportunity to share your work, connect with the community, and get your handmade goods out there just in time for the holidays!

Altars by Candlelight: one spot left

The lights go down, the candles come up, and the studio gets quiet in the best way.

Join us at The Pottery Atascadero for an evening of handbuilding by candlelight. You’ll shape your own small clay altar, a place for a candle, a photo, a keepsake, or whatever you want to honor this season. We’ll guide you step by step, and no experience is needed.

Next week, UK ceramic artist Mark Dally stops by on his first West Coast tour to demonstrate how to use a slip trailer that he invented and hand-makes at his home in England. Every participant goes home with their own trailer, which is included in the workshop fee. Book on our website.

Imagine your work in our window.

We’re launching The Pottery Artist in Residence program at our Atascadero, Grover Beach and Baywood studios, and we’re looking for clay artists ready to think bold, playful and larger than life.

Each 3-month residency includes:
✨ 24-hour studio access
✨ A membership with 10 pieces fired each month and your own shelf
✨ Free clay to build a storefront window display
✨ A shelf to sell your work (you keep 60%)
✨ 5% off clay, glazes and tools
✨ The chance to teach a paid workshop

Your window display goes up at the end of your residency and greets everyone who walks by for the next three months.

The amazing Jordan from Epoch Estate Wines will be pouring for us and the ever so lovely Jackie Larios from Jackie Larios will be sharing and selling her work. Stop by for a super good time.
