A big THANK YOU to our neighbors who supported our Annual Spring Plant Sale and Education Event on Saturday! All funds raised from your pre-orders and on-site purchases are being reinvested in programs that support our mission of providing research-based home horticulture advice, education, and outreach across Clatsop County.

With a small inventory of ornamental plants remaining, we’ll be hosting a one-day **FLASH PLANT SALE** tomorrow (Tuesday, May 12) from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, in our Demo Garden at the Clatsop Co. Fairgrounds.

Tomorrow, you’ll find upright fuschia, perennial lobelia, ferns, sun coleus, scabiosa, petunias, dragon wing begonias, heuchera, hostas, and more available for purchase. Card, cash, and check will be accepted.

Our Master Gardener volunteers will also be offering garden tours for anyone interested in finding more growing inspiration!

Our annual Spring Plant Sale & Educational Event is set and ready to welcome fellow gardeners tomorrow (Sat., May 9)! Doors open at 9:00 AM at the Clatsop County Fair & Expo and close at noon.

We'll have veggie starts, herbs, perennials, and a beautiful selection of annual color available to purchase. Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted, with all funds benefiting our community horticultural programs across Clatsop County.

Our volunteers and local partners will also host several educational activities, including soil pH testing, pressure canner gauge testing, a hands-on insect hotel activity for kids, and stations to learn about bees, dahlias, hummingbirds, and more. Young entrepreneurs from the 4-H Biz Kids program will also be selling their goods.

New this year, we'll be running a Blind Date With a Book sale, where you can purchase a mystery book for $10... an excellent pre-wrapped Mother's Day Gift idea! And we'll once again be selling tickets for our raffle and silent auction for a chance to win amazing prize packages donated by local businesses across the county.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, neighbors!

On April 29, the Oregon State University community will come together for Dam Proud Day, a 24-hour day of giving.

This year, the OSU Extension Master Gardener Program was selected as one of only three Extension programs to be featured. It’s a meaningful opportunity to support the statewide program behind volunteer training, gardening education and community impact across Oregon.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll share stories about what this program means to volunteers and communities across the state. We hope you’ll follow along and mark your calendar for April 29.

If you are or ever have been a Master Gardener volunteer, we would love to share your story! You can do so here: https://oregonstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8BQ8MI3jE01M8Xs
