June 9th: Free Skate Night for AMS 8th Graders from 6-8 pm at the Armory
June 10th: Day of Fun for 8th graders with a cake reception and photo opportunities upon their return from the field trip.
Parents are welcome at the cake reception from 4-5 pm.

Heads up to all AMS families: this week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Parents Club is purchasing a meal for the staff for Thursday. If you have a chance to say thank you to your children's teachers, please do so!

Parents are hosting the last dance of the year, Spring Fling, on Friday, April 24th from 6-8 pm. We need help taking tickets, chaperoning and selling concessions. Chaperones need to have a current background check on file with the district. You can find the form on the district website. Please sign up to help out below!

AMS parents~
We are holding one last fundraiser for the year to try to raise money for next year's needs. We were barely able to cover this year's funding requests through our current efforts; the profit margins on concessions are small. Linda Brech came up with a fun idea to "sell" screen-free time for families. If you are trying to get your kids off screens, here is a way to do it. If you are managing screens just fine in your family, you can make a donation instead. Every dollar goes directly back to supporting students and teachers. So far, 53 people have viewed the fundraiser, but no one has made a contribution. You can be the first one. Next year's activities are at risk. Please help AMS students today!

This is an appreciation post for Jacy Young and Jen Canessa, who graciously worked the Doughnut and Hot Chocolate fundraiser for seven Fridays in a row. Aliceson Ezren also stepped up to the plate when needed!

We also want to give a shout-out and huge thank you to Dave, the head cook at AMS, and Jim, the head custodian, who helped set up and get water heated for those early Friday mornings. We literally couldn't do it without you.

Finally, a big thank you to the Canessa family for purchasing Parents Club a new, larger hot water heater for hot chocolate and multiple sets of cups. It made all the difference this year!

AMS families~ We are looking for six volunteers to help sell concessions at Astoria's wrestling meet on Wednesday, Feb. 18th. The time commitment is only an hour long, and you should be able to watch the meet while you sell concessions to fund parent club activities. Sign up below!
