Part Two: Understanding Water Infiltration
CCC HP students used framed mock-ups to learn how to apply siding and trim. They also learned how to remove, then patch, rotted siding and poorly applied roof shingles. Thank you Steff Eiter, HP adjunct, for creating these in-shop scenarios.

CCC Students Construct Storm Sashes for Alderbrook Hall
Over the last three weekends, CCC Historic Preservation students were taught woodworking skills by CCC alum, Chris Gustafson, who led them in the construction of traditional wood sash storm windows for Alderbrook Hall. Students gained experience using molder, tenoner and shaper machines. The storm sashes will protect the hall’s historic wood windows, improve the building’s energy efficiency, and reduce sound infiltration from the adjacent highway.
