Astoria School District Parents, Students, and Staff,

We are expecting some winter weather over the next few days on the Oregon Coast. We want to inform you of the District’s plan for Thursday, February 13, 2025:

If the school start is delayed by two to three hours due to road conditions, Thursday will be a full school day instead of an early release day.

If the school start starts on time, Thursday will be an early release day.

Read-A-Thon is back!! Your child's teacher should have passed out information at conferences telling you how to participate!! We hope your student has been taking breaks from sledding to log those minutes!!

Prizes this year have leveled up!! Winning classes per grade level, the overall winning class AND individual students who read the most minutes or raise the most money will be taking a special field trip to the armory for a skate party!!! 🛼 🤩

All students who log in and create an account will receive a prize & a reading sticker!! Read-a-Thon ends February 14th. Sign up and LOG THOSE MINUTES!!

another snow day! Astoria schools cancelled today, 2/4/25. stay safe and warm, friends!!

our 2nd annual Turkey Trot was a success!! we raised just over $5,000 which will go directly back to the school, supporting our kiddos & teachers in things like 3rd grade student t-shirts, staff appreciation lunches and much needed classroom supplies. thank you Purple Cow Toys & Erickson Floral Company for your gracious donations!! our class winners with the most pledges were Boslar, O'Donnell and Easterwood… they’ll celebrate with pumpkin pie parties tomorrow!!! thank you everyone for supporting our school!

the L&C Camp Read S'more event is TONIGHT from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. family-friendly however requires adult supervision… this is NOT a drop off event. see you there!!
