We would like to recognize our Scout Masters, Kate McCroary, Suheyl Rodriguez and Juan Rea; our Advancement Chair Heather Smith, and our Committee Chair Timothy Daley for providing adult leadership.

Finally we would like to thank the parents for keeping the troop together. You bring the scouts to our meetings and accompany us on trips and camp outs. You are the first line of supervision while the scouts prepare their Merit Badges Workbooks and ensure that they complete the requirements.

Troop 65 worked on Life Scout Luka’s Eagle project this weekend. The benches look great!

Finding Direction Without Tools:
1- Use a flashlight as the sun
• Use a stick to create shadows
Show how shadow movement helps determine direction
• For night: Explain Polaris and star navigation
• Use a visual or diagram if needed

2- GPS
