We are excited to welcome Jennifer Carlson as CCC's Chief Financial Officer. Jennifer brings extensive experience in public sector finance, budget oversight, and fiscal management to the college leadership team. As she begins her new role, Jennifer says she is focused on learning from the college’s experienced staff while also bringing fresh perspective to the institution.

Join us for the IDEALab Open House on Friday, May 15th from 4-7 p.m. check out the awesome maker space now available to students and available starting this summer to the community!!!
The IDEALab, short for Imagination, Design, Engineering, and Art, is a dynamic, hands-on “maker” space designed to give students and soon, the broader community access to tools and technology for creating, prototyping, and exploring new ideas.
The May 15 Open House is an opportunity for the public to tour the space, see demonstrations, and connect with the students who helped bring the lab to life.

Clatsop Community College is offering a new HVAC Foundations Program to introduce local 16–24 year-olds to the skilled trades industry and help develop a local source of skilled trades professionals to meet local demand.
We are seeking local skilled trades companies to provide mentorship, and job site exposure by hosting trainees for 80 hour internship. This learning-first internship focuses on trainee exposure to working environments and isn’t meant to augment current staff. Your participation provides early access to potential future hires and a direct role developing local talent to meets your company’s needs.
Prior to Partner placement, trainees receive 80 hours of classroom instruction covering workplace basics, safety, and HVAC fundamentals (including basic plumbing and electrical principles) and obtained their OSHA-10 card.
Trainees can:
-Shadow and observe Field work
-Assist with basic, low-risk tasks
-Support with setup, cleanup, and material handling, etc.
Trainees Cannot:
-Replace paid employees
-Perform unsupervised or independent work
-Be expected to contribute production labor
Participation Looks Like:
-Commitment to host (1 or more) trainees for 80 hours
-Internship Window: July 8th - 31st 2026
-Final Internship schedule established with Partner input

The Scholarship Application for Fall Term is NOW OPEN! If you are planning to attend CCC this fall, you should fill out the online application and see what funding you are eligible for. There is approximately $150,000 in funding that we want to match to students to help them attend CCC. One application puts you in the running for any scholarships we can match you up to. Join us for the 3rd Annual Trantlerfest happening Wednesday, May 6th from 6-9 p.m. in the Royal Nebeker Art Gallery. This celebration of everything art will be full of fun including:
-Pop-up Art Show
-An Interactive Art Wall
-Costume Contest- Come as your most "trant-tastic" self
-Local Band - Potato in the Wind
-Dance performances by Triple Moon Dance
-Food and Drink by Athena's Mediterranean Kitchen, Bandit Cafe, Sleeper Coffee and Fort George Brewery
-Dance Music by DJ SLu

What is Trantlerfest: Trantlerfest is an evening of creativity, connection, and celebration. It is a one-of-a-kind gathering centered around the iconic Trantler sculpture created by Keri Rosebraugh in the courtyard of the Royal Nebeker Art Gallery.
