Hey Everyone!! We're looking for a couple of awesome teens (and adults for our adult classes) who want to gain experience singing in a band! Ages middle school and high school - all experience levels welcome. You DO NOT need to be an expert! We hope to be creative with some new voices and personalities!

It's time! The only way you'll know is if you try...We provide a low-pressure on-ramp just meeting with Nate or singing with a beginner's band class to see what it's like to sing with other musicians-in-training...Most importantly, it's fun!

Drop by to support our bands with a great crowd! (It's free, too.) We would love to see more of our students, families, and friends in the audience. (Bring a lawn chair.)

Learn to lay down a groove and play great bass lines! The bass is the motion, emotion, and "feel" that drives the song!
Think "Dazed and Confused," "Superstition," "Billie Jean," "Come Together," "Hysteria," "Livin' on a Prayer"....Imagine these songs WITHOUT the bass? These songs would die on the cutting room floor.

Juliann has been teaching bass at Richards Rock Academy for many years. She currently instructs students on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and also helps prepare our bassists for band performances! Juliann has been studying and performing on bass for well over a decade. She completed her bachelor of science in Music Industry & Recording Technology with a focus in Media and Popular Culture and bass as her primary instrument at York College of Pennsylvania. Juliann is now pursuing her master of Business Administration with a focus in Music Business from Southern New Hampshire University in conjunction with Berklee College of Music.

She’s been with her two bands, Witch Weather and Violet Fire, for three years. Having performed at many venues like The Fire, The State Theatre of Havre de Grace, WaR3House 3, Bar XIII, The Queen, as well as various outdoor venues and events, Juliann has experience working with and performing at many types of venues. Both Witch Weather and Violet Fire release music to all streaming services, meaning Juliann is well versed in the differences between playing for a live performance and playing for a recording.

Super proud of Blue Hour! They crushed it at the Delco Gives Telethon last night at the Kelly Center. Thank you Vincent James for the opportunity!

Their rhythm guitarist was sick about 2 hours before the show, and RRA band director / manager / guitar teacher Colin Ainsworth stepped up immediately and helped facilitate last-minute edits and the show went on. Blue Hour even CRUSHED a new song "100 Sleepless Nights" by Pierce the Veil and Eva carried the very complex guitar parts as a solo guitarist. We are grateful to work with such pro musicians, young and old-ish!
