Our entire community is overwhelmed in the loss of Susan Weber. We as an association will be lesser in losing her.

Susan fought hard for the last year, she was a true warrior, and we are so deeply sad that this was a fight she ever had to fight.

Susan was a true friend, confidante and life long learner, she not only taught students but fellow educators as a mentor and representative. Susan traveled abroad solo and inspired many of her colleagues and students to do the same. Susan truly used her time on earth to the best she could, seeing the world, inspiring youth and cultivating a truly loving experience for Penn Delco students.

Susan brought real laughter and friendship to Aston, to PDEA and to every person whose life she touched. If you head to her page you will see hundreds of comments illustrating the joy she brought to everyone around her. There are not enough words in the world to illustrate the loss that this is, but we are grateful she is now without pain and able to rest in peace.

Every educator knows this time of year brings a mix of emotions, celebrating students as they graduate and head into summer, while knowing they’re also saying goodbye to the friends and routines that meant so much.

But with every ending comes a new beginning. New spaces, new opportunities… and new friendships waiting to be made. 💫

Just ask Miss Mancarella and Miss Starineri, who met at West Chester University while learning to become educators, built a lasting friendship, and now get to teach side by side.

Here’s to the friendships that shape us, the ones we carry with us, and the new ones still to come. 💙

Every educator knows the days aren’t always easy—but it’s the people beside you that make all the difference. The early mornings, the long afternoons, the constant giving… it takes heart, resilience, and a whole lot of support.

That’s what PDEA is all about—showing up for each other, lifting one another up, and reminding ourselves why we do this work in the first place. Because when we stand together, celebrate the small wins, and keep pushing forward, there’s no doubt… brighter days are always ahead. ☀️

Ms. Kane never misses a chance to support her NMS bestie Ms. Frias, and we’re taking notes—so grab your favorite person and come enjoy a night full of music, community, and summer vibes. 💛

We wrapped up the week with another spirit day—this time our team stepped into their students’ shoes and spent Friday dressed just like them 😎 From hoodies and slides to “lit fam” energy all around, they committed to the look and had fun with every detail.

Spirit days like this build connection, boost school pride, and show students that their teachers are right there with them—willing to laugh, participate, and be part of the culture. Now that’s a FLEX. 💥

A 90s Dress Up Day, sponsored by the Pennell PTO, was a fantastic way to flip the script and give Pennell teachers and staff a nostalgic break.

It was a chance for the faculty to trade their professional attire for neon windbreakers, oversized flannels, and butterfly clips, all while being celebrated by a community that appreciates their hard work.

Our PDEA members continue to show that the impact of educators reaches far beyond the classroom. 💙⚾

NMS PE teacher Dan Campbell is leading the way with the 1st Annual Strike Out Cancer Classic, bringing students, staff, and the community together for a meaningful cause. This event isn’t just about the game—it’s about teaching students the power of service, leadership, and using their voices to make a difference.

Proceeds from the event will support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and pediatric cancer research, showing our students what it means to step up for something bigger than themselves. From organizing, to participating, to giving back, this is what real-world learning looks like.

We are proud of the dedication our educators bring every day—not only in their classrooms, but in moments like these that truly shape our future.
